Sea Trek

Located at the Bay Model in Sausalito
Driving FROM THE NORTH ON HWY 101:
  1. Take Sausalito/Marin City exit. Sea Trek is roughly 1.7 miles.
  2. Go left under the freeway and right onto Bridgeway.
  3. Count seven signal lights (including the signal where you turn right onto Bridgeway).
  4. Turn left on Marinship Way. This is the first possible left after Harbor Drive and is opposite a 7-11 market and bus stop shelter.
  5. Go down the hill and continue straight. Follow Bay Model signs. Turn right between Bay Model warehouses. Drive towards the water and the Bay Model/Sea Trek parking lot is on the left. Parking is free. (See local map ABOVE.)
Driving FROM THE SOUTH (Golden Gate Bridge) ON HWY 101:
  1. Take the Rodeo Drive exit off 101 (comes after Spencer Drive exit). From exit to Sea Trek is approx. 1.2 miles.
  2. At the first stop sign bear left onto Nevada Street.
  3. Nevada Street ends at Bridgeway. Turn right on Bridgeway and at the second signal light (just after Spring Street signal light) take a left at Marinship Way (opposite a 7-11 market and bus stop shelter).
  4. Go down the hill and continue straight. Follow Bay Model signs. Turn right between Bay Model warehouses. Drive towards the water and the Bay Model/Sea Trek parking lot is on the left. Parking is free. Walk along the waterfront to the right to find Sea Trek (See Map ABOVE).
Walking FROM THE SAUSALITO FERRY:

Get onto Bridgeway and walk north (away from San Francisco). Approximately 15 minutes to Sea Trek. Look at map below for landmarks. The first signal light north of Salito’s and Bocces restaurants that you come to take a right on Marinship Way. Go down the hill. At bottom go right 1 block and take first left (at Canvas Works sign). Walk to end of this short side street and look for tall redwood tree & Sea Trek. (See Map BELOW)

Horseshoe Bay – Travis Marina

for Paddle the Gate, SUP the Gate and Coastal Paddle trips

FROM HWY 101:

1) If you’re coming from SF and South: Take the first exit (Alexander Exit) after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. Proceed downhill for about 50-100 yards and take a left following the sign Fort Baker & Bay Area Discovery Museum.
If you’re coming from the North: Take the last exit, Sausalito Exit just before the Golden Gate Bridge. Bear right following the Sausalito and Bay Area Discovery Museum signs. Drive under the freeway to the stop sign. Continue downhill. Take your first left at the Fort Baker & Bay Area Discovery Museum sign.

2) 100 yards later take a right following the 2nd Fort Baker & Bay Area Discovery Museum sign. (Note: do not enter the Ft. Cronkite Tunnel.) Continue downhill to stop sign. Go right following Bay Area Discovery sign. At the next stop sign go left on Center Road/East Road towards Bay Area Discovery Museum. Look for New Breitung Road and take a right to the end and continue past Battery Yates sign. Road will drop down onto Marina Road and look for the Sea Trek truck (white Ford F-150) and trailer and/or Sea Trek staff and kayaks on the beach below. (You will now be on the east side of Horseshoe Bay near the sailboats just in front of the big Presidio Yacht Club building). Mileage from freeway: approx. 1.6 miles.

FROM DOWNTOWN SAUSALITO:

Follow Bridgeway south out of town. Brideway turns into Second Street (pass the Golden Gate Market) and then Second Street turns into Alexander Avenue. Follow Alexander Avenue uphill for a short while then take a right at the Fort Baker sign and onto East Road. Follow this road for approximately one mile and you’ll come to the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Look for New Breitung Road and take a left to the end and continue past Battery Yates sign. Road will drop down onto Marina Road and look for the Sea Trek truck (white Ford F-150) and trailer and/or Sea Trek staff and kayaks on the beach below. (You will now be on the east side of Horseshoe Bay near the sailboats just in front of the big Presidio Yacht Club/ Travis Marina building).

Heart’s Desire

for Tomales Bay Trip

FROM HWY 101:

Take the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit and head west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Drive approximately 45 minutes to the junction of Highway 1 at Olema, and turn right onto the highway. Drive about three miles and turn left, again, onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Continue through Inverness to a sign which indicates that Point Reyes beaches and lighthouse are to the left, and Tomales State Park is to the right. Turn right. At the sign for Heart’s Desire Beach turn right through the gate, down the hill. At the ranger station, a $6 parking fee will be collected. Continue down the hill to the Heart’s Desire parking area.

Miller Point Boat Ramp/ Nicks Cove

FROM HWY 101:

Take the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit and head west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Drive approximately 45 minutes to the junction of Highway 1 at Olema, and turn right onto the highway. Drive approximately 3 miles to Point Reyes Station. Continue on Highway 1 for another 25 minutes north (through the town of Marshall) to the Miller Point Boat Ramp. Park in the lot on the left just north of Nick’s Cove restaurant. There is a $5 parking fee.

Drakes Estero trips

Take the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit and head west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Drive approximately 45 minutes to the junction of Highway 1 at Olema, and turn right onto the highway. Drive about 2 miles and turn left, back onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd. It’s about 9.5 miles to Drakes Estero from here. Continue through the towns of Inverness Park and Inverness and turn left following the signs to Point Reyes beaches and lighthouse. After several miles you will see a sign for Drakes Estero on the left and here you take a left (note the map above shows Drakes Bay Oyster Farm which is now gone). Prior to the Drakes Estero sign you might see a sign “Estero Trailhead” on your left but pass this by and continue on to the Drakes Estero sign. Your guides will be waiting for you in the Drakes Estero parking lot.

Angel Island

Angel Island Adventure and Take the Kids trips

From Tiburon take the 10:00 am Angel Island-Tiburon Ferry to arrive on the Island at 10:20. The Ferry leaves Angel Island to return to Tiburon at 1:20 pm and 3:30 pm. On the weekend from San Francisco’s Pier 41 take the 9:45 am Blue & Gold Ferry to arrive on the Island at 10:10am. The SF Ferry leaves Angel Island at 3:00 pm arriving to Pier 41 at 3:25 pm. Please verify ferry times especially if your trip is mid-week and off-season. The times listed above are not year round times. Angel Island ferry- http://www.angelislandferry.com/ or Blue & Gold Ferry- http://www.blueandgoldfleet.com. Your guides will be waiting for you on the beach in Ayala Cove near the ferry dock.
