much is the plane ticket? |
| From
San Francisco, the price ranges from
$450-$550. |
|
|
Can
you help us book a flight?
|
| Yes.
We'll put you in touch with our travel

current available flights. It's that
simple. |
|

never kayaked before - can I do this trip? |

|
| Do

| You
need to bring your own personal gear,
and a sleeping bag and ground pad. We'll
provide spacious tents. |
|

| For
Alaska's cool moist maritime climate
we suggest layered clothing and a good

clothing list when you sign up.

|
| What's
the food like? |
| Your
guides will prepare a variety of meals
for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians

pasta, fresh salads, baked desserts,
deli-spread lunches, smoked salmon,
classic egg/pancake breakfasts, and
home dried fruits and chocolates for
snacks. You will be fed well. |
|

much do we paddle each day? |
| Our

we are moving to or from a base camp
will be less. |

the weather like? |
| The
typical week would be 25% sunshine,
25% rain, and 50% overcast. Air temperature
duringthe day is 60s to 70s and at night
is 40s to 50s. Wind is usually negligible.
|
|
| Are
there any bugs? |
| |
Our
camps, thankfully, are usually free of bugs.
Though if you take a stroll along the beach
in the evening you may encounter some no-seeums.
|
| What
can I expect in terms of wildlife? |
| |
Glad
you asked. The Inside Passage hosts an incredible
abundance of wildlife including humpback whales
in Frederick Sound, (frequently appearing)
bald eagles, salmon (summer is spawning season
for the silver and chum salmon), harbor seals,
Stellar's sea lions, sea otters, moose, wolves,
deer, black bear, and more. |
