Kayak Belize - Getting There

Airline Reservations:
Since this program is offered as land-only package you will have to make your own airline reservations. Several airlines service Belize including TACA, American, Continental, Delta and US Air. Flights must arrive in Belize City (BZE is the airport code) by 2:30pm in order to meet our departure boat scheduled by 3:30pm. Please call our office if you have further questions about making airline reservations.

Rendezvous Instructions:
Upon arrival in Belize City, transfer on your own by taxi to the Princess International Hotel & Casino (telephone number 011501-2-32670). The hotel is located at Kings Park, about 30 minutes from the Belize City International Airport. The taxi fares are US$25 (fares are subject to change). On the first day of your program, boat check-in begins at 3:00pm; the vessel will depart around 4:00pm. Go to the dock of the marina behind the Princess International Hotel, where an Oceanic Society representative will meet you and a boat will await all gateway arrivals, for transfer of your group to Blackbird Caye (approximately 90 minutes), to arrive in time for a welcome dinner and trip briefing.

Returning Home:
On the last of the trip, you will be transfered via a 3 hour boat ride from Lighthouse Reef to Belize City. To ensure enough travel time, flights should be booked to depart after 1:00pm.
