Options:

Length of trip
The classic "3-hour tour" has proven to be the ideal amount of time for most beginners. This includes a 30-40 min. orientation, use of traditional closed-deck double kayaks and one guide for every 8 people on the water. Guides are trained regarding local history and are very knowledgeable about the local marine life.
3-hour trips can be arranged at any of our locations.
For more adventurous and physical groups, an all day paddle including lunch is a great way to go.
Overnights are available on Angel Island and Tomales Bay. Campsites
for weekends on Angel Island must be reserved months in advance.

Where to go?
Sausalito Waterfront and the Golden Gate
Sausalito has stunning views of Mt. Tamalpais, Angel Island and San Francisco. It is THE place to go for a nighttime paddle. It's easy to get to by car, ferry or bus.
There is a resident population of harbor seals that hang out on the docks, so you're guaranteed of seeing them every trip. There are lots of funky boats and an incredibly ecclectic houseboat community, the largest on the West Coast.
It is a great destination to bring a business group, friends or family from out of town or first timers to the Bay Area.
What it isn't is a "wilderness area."
Paddling beneath the Golden Gate Bridge is an incredible trip for adventurous beginners. We'll work with you to pick the best time to safely explore this incredible destination. We do the trip only in the morning and for only 3 hours.

Tomales Bay
This is "wilderness". Tomales Bay takes you back in time, even from the drive out there. It's about 2 hours north of San Francisco. You'll drive through small villages, redwood lined winding roads and maybe even see elk along the way. Tomales Bay is still home to oyster farms where fresh shellfish are harvested daily, fishermen bring their catch in to sell to the local markets and dairy farms are the only "skyline" you'll see.
Nestled between the Point Reyes National Seashore and the historic towns of Marshall, Inverness and Dillon, this 15 mile pristine waterway is an incredible destination to "get back to nature."

Angel Island
Angel Island is just a ferry ride away from San Francisco. Include kayaking in a day of picnicking, hiking or bike riding.
Great views and sandy beaches are what Angel Island has to offer like no place in the Bay Area. It is a jewel in the middle of the Bay. You can camp or you can have a full on catered party.

The great thing about Sausalito is the food.

Groups over 20 can make the paddle to Guaymas in Tiburon for awesome dining.
