Bathing suit or quick drying nylon shorts.
_ wool hat
_ 2 polypropylene, capilene, other synthetic or
wool shirt
_ 2 pair of
polypropylene, capilene, other synthetic pants
(biking tights work fine)
_ 1 pair of rain/windbreaker pants (work great
for kayaking or windy days)
_ 1 small towel
_ dry set of warm clothes (shirt and pants)
_ windbreaker
_ footwear that can get wet (old sneakers with
wool socks, aqua socks, strap-on sandals, booties)
_ Tennis shoes or hiking boots (preferably blister
producing free, we hike about 2 miles one day)
_ sunblock
_ sunglasses and hat/visor (with retaining straps)
_ 2 water bottles (preferably large mouths for
mixing drinks)
_ sleeping bag (must be able to put in stuff sack,
cotton sleeping bags without a stuff sac will
not fit in the kayak. please)
_ sleeping pad
_ personal toiletries
_ flashlight and extra set of batteries
_ cup, silverware, & bowl or plate
_ camera (optional)
_ small day pack (for carrying lunch on day hike)
_ lunch (for first day only)
