He has worked for Sea Trek on and off for the last 13
years, juggling school and river rafting gigs. Having

he's back working the beach, leading trips and trying
to explain the movement of the tides to anyone who ventures
the question. When not on the water Sylvan is either
riding his bike, fixing whatever broken gadget he can
get his hands on, or traveling in South America. |

Dan
Tracy. The local Sea Trek scoundrel, Dan the
Man, wins us all over with his smile and his charm.
Dan loves teaching classes and turning people on to
the wonders of sea kayaking. He's also an integral part
of our camp staff, and guides all our various trips.
Off duty it's surf and turf. Dan loves rough water paddling
whether it's river or ocean and is also a gonzo mountain
bike specialist. He's a jack of all trades, give him
a wrench and he'll fix it. |

Laura May. In 1997 Laura kayaked Blackfish Sound in
British Columbia and found her life changed. She continues
to be amazed by each new experience on the water. An avid
supporter of marine life - she has spent time volunteering
with the Marine Mammal Center, Pt. Reyes National Seashore,
Earth Island Institute and NOAA. When she is out on the
water, she enjoys sharing the natural history of the marine
mammal populations that are local to our area. Drakes
Estero, Tomales Bay and Baja are some of her favorite
trips. She spends part of each year traveling with groups.
Her travels have taken her through most of the United
States, parts of Europe, and Mexico. When she is not on
the road, you will find Laura in her darkroom dabbling
with landscape photography. |

Linda Duca got involved with sea kayaking during a year
in Americorps on Cape Cod, MA. The next year she got started
guiding in Manhattan while dodging ferries and the strong
currents of the Hudson River. Now in her third year with
Sea Trek, she loves taking people out on the water and
sharing in their wonder at seeing the Bay Area from a
new perspective. |

Up until four years ago, Sarah led trips and traveled
to over 60 countries. These expedition skills have proven
extremely useful in her current job as a "stay at
home" mother of twin three year olds. "The bay
area offers incredible access for outdoor adventures.
I can paddle the Gate in the morning and still be home
to make the girls PB&J's for lunch. I feel extremely
fortunate to be part of the Sea Trek family for the last
decade". |

2007 Camp Staff

Chad
Etheridge found
himself transplanted in the Bay Area after pursuing
graduate degrees in theology and culture. He comes from
a white water background of 10+ years. In addition to
teaching and guiding for Sea Trek, you may find him
instructing a swift water rescue course or conducting
white water raft guide training on the Klamath River.
Chad is a really patient and laidback instructor who
prides himself in being able to connect with students
of various learning styles.
When
not on the water, your best bet is to look for him and
his wife out riding some single track in Marin. |

Michelle
Doninger grew
up near Chicago and before calling California home, she
spent several years studying and working in Wisconsin.
She discovered her love of the water by taking an Intro

Mexico, and India have made her travel log thus far. After
ten years in the television and video industry, Michelle
changed gears and you can now find her teaching special
education at a public school in the East Bay, and guiding
for Sea Trek. |
