CLASS DESCRIPTION
Paddling your sea kayak in the open water can be much more difficult than paddling in protected areas. The intermediate paddling class is intended to prepare you for the Advanced Sea Kayaking Class and your first major crossing of open water, a three-mile paddle across the Bay to Angel Island. Instructors will fine-tune your paddle strokes and teach you advanced boat-maneuvering skills. You will practice self-rescues and assisted rescues as well. Once you have successfully finished the class, you can take the Advanced Sea Kayaking Class.
The class is offered at both of our locations (Alameda and Sausalito). Wetsuit, paddle jacket, and kayaking equipment are all included in the cost of the class. To reserve your spot today, register online by clicking the BOOK NOW button above or call (415) 332-8494.
