CLASS DESCRIPTION
The intermediate kayak class is intended to prepare you for the Advanced Sea Kayaking Class. In the advanced class you’ll be paddling across the bay to Angel Island in much more dynamic waters to practice rescues in rough conditions. During your Intermediate Sea Kayak Class instructors will help you fine tune your boat handling, paddling strokes and rescues. Once you have successfully finished the class followed by practice, you can take the Advanced Sea Kayaking Class.

Surfskis are high performance sit-on-top kayaks designed for speed on open water, most commonly the ocean, although also well-suited to all bodies of water and recreational paddling. In this class we’ll practice all the basic strokes, review safety concerns, tides/currents and weather. Short kayak tour included.
